Where is the Writing Center?
Answer
Louisiana Tech University's Writing Center is located in the left side of Wyly Tower in room 325. The right side of the building is dedicated to Prescott Memorial Library's collection. To learn more about Wyly Tower (WYLT) and Prescott Memorial Library (PML), feel free to visit this page.
To reach the Writing Center (WYLT 325), do not go into the side of the building with the word "Library" over the doors. Enter through the left (west) side of the tower as pictured below:
If you prefer to use the stairs, enter through the Data Center doors directly to the right of the automatic sliding doors outside of the elevator lobby. The stairwell only goes down to the Help Desk in the basement and up to the third floor. Ascend and exit through the wooden door at the top of the stairs.
If you prefer to use the elevators, enter the Wyly Tower left side lobby and direct yourself towards the elevators. There will be five elevator cab doors. Each cab will have a little green sign mounted on the wall beside it indicating which floors they are able to go to, but the middle elevator (pictured below) is the only one that will reach your destination on the third floor:
Enter the middle elevator and go to the third floor.
Whether you elected to take the stairs or the elevators, the route from here is the same. The Writing Center will be in room 325 at the end of the long hallway on the third floor. Their office will often put up a sign to make it easier to find (shown below).
